KitchA – Asian cuisine with a different look

Let yourself be transported to a mysterious asian cuisine that doesn’t look like it at all.

Kitch A is a unique Asian restaurant in Vienna. There are 2 locations in Vienna, I was in the restaurant in the 1st district, in Wollzeile. On the outside it looks rather simple but inside a nice surprise awaits you. The restaurant reminds you as if you are in a secret and unique flower garden. The light is a bit dim and pink. As a highlight, white flowers hang from the ceiling. The simple Asian style merges with modernity. A WOW-effect!

Kitch A is an Asian restaurant, but what makes it unique is that it fuses two cuisines together. The visual appearance is more reminiscent of Mexican cuisine, but you can definitely taste Asian cuisine with every bite. A perfect fusion of these 2 cuisines. It is no suprise that the owners used to have a successful food truck and now this restaurant has emerged from it. – Street food at a higher level.

This time I didn’t opt for the classic edamame as a starter, but instead tried the crunchy shrimp wonton. Deep-fried dumplings filled with shrimp and served with a refreshingly light mayonnaise on the side. Since we are in a street food restaurant I just had to try their signature dish – Sushi Tacos. One was the hamachi (japanese fish) taco with truffle – although unfortunately I didn’t taste the truffle here – and the other was the asparagus beef taco.

The restaurant offers a variety of different delicacies. For special occasions I would try/recommend their tasting menu. – There is definitely something for everyone. All in all, I was very impressed with the location. – perfect for photos. The food was tasty, but the portions were a bit small for the price. It would be better if the price was a little lower so that you could try more different dishes.
