Cheers to life and the best way to enjoy it is at Bar Campari. Milanese flair in the middle of Vienna.
The Bar Campari is located in the 1st district in Vienna. In the Goldenes Quartier (most popular luxury fashion corner), directly behind the Hotel Park Hyatt. There, in a small alley, is the Milanese-inspired Bar Campari. A bar that is almost always open, no matter what time it is. A perfect place to simply unwind from everyday life and relax in typical Italian style with an italian aperetivo.
I love the design of the bar. Especially in spring and summer, because then you can sit outside under the flowers. Many people only know Bar Campari from the outside, but inside the bar is really big. There is a great ammount of comfortable seating and a nice bar. The colors you mainly see here are brown, red and gold. These colors go perfectly with the countless Campari bottles that are on display everywhere. You really don’t have to worry about the Campari ever running out.
And what’s the best thing to drink at Bar Campari? Of course something with Campari. I once had the “Camapri Milano”, consisting of Camapri, cranberry; Prosecco and fresh mint. Tasty but a bit bitter in taste. I also tried the Basil Spritz. Vermouth Dra, basil-ginger lemonade, basil and soda. Extremely refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. I tried the “Provocateur” as a cocktail. Heavenly! Appleton Signature Blend, falernum, lime, coconut and turmeric. Sweet and delicious. A real provocateur of the senses.
The Bar Campari offers various snacks for when you’re hungry or even whole meals. This time we chose the Pinsa Bianca Tartufo, consisting of parmesan cream, artichokes and of course truffles. As an special experience the pinsa is brought with scissors, so that you can cut it with them by yourself. A really fun experience. But be careful, messing around is inevitable.
I love the atmosphere at Bar Campari and I can’t get enough of their cocktails. And that’s certainly what many people think, because you should be aware that there are not much empty tables. No matter what time of day. It’s definitely worth making a reservation. Or you can come along spontaneously like I did and grab a spot outside. You have to be lucky.
To my dissabointment the service wasn’t on top, as you would expect it to be in such a location. Although it was no dealbreaker it still bugged me. The overall experience at the Bar Campari still was great and the atmosphere was very cozy and relaxed. I can only recommend it to everyone who is looking for an Italian aperetivo flair in the heart of Vienna.
Conclusion:
a bar with great drinks
Adress:
Seitzergasse 6

let the “provocateur” rob your senses
