The Botanista is located in downtown Munich, Germany. It is a typical breakfast restaurant that is fully booked at least a week in advance. Although according to my research it’s open until the evening hours, I think it’s main reason for its great breakfast offerings. The concept is to bring people closer to healthy breakfasts that also look nice. The breakfast and brunch trend is booming more than ever.
From the outside, the place looks rather simple and inconspicuous. However, when you enter the cafe you find yourself in a place where the most typical urban style has been mixed with a touch of Hawaii. So when I entered I was already convinced and in my opinion that is the most important thing, regardless of the location, the first few seconds have to convince you. So first of all you notice the beautiful bar and then the sign “Mimosas are the cheaper therapy” which immediately makes you smile. The furnishings are very classic, bright and friendly. Nothing extravagant but rather a little more rustic.
There are no typical menus that are presented to you, but rather in a modern way via QR code. – whether you like it or not is a matter of taste. For me, the perfect breakfast consists of something salty and sweet. That’s why we ordered at first the pink surfer. A brown bread with pink humus, avocado, rocket, fried egg and cress. Then “The Greek”. A scrambled egg with onions, tomatoes, olives and feta with brown bread and also pink humus. And as a sweet treat we had the ultimate power porige. Consisting of warm protein porridge with linseeds, vanilla cream and berries.
The food is very tasty and you will definitely be full. I liked the pink surfer so much that I waited a whole year until I got back to Munich to go to Cafe Botanista and eat one. The place is really down to earth and beautiful. The prices are really cheap for Munich. There’s really nothing negative to say.
