The cafe is located in and is part of the newly renovated hotel, the Almanac, which impresses with its unique, luxurious design. Great value is placed here on quality and sustainability. A central role is played by the collaboration with the Viennese roasting company “CaffèCouture”, which provides selected types of coffee for the preparation of the specialties.
From the outside, Cafe Elias looks somewhat inconspicuous, despite the hotel’s impressive facade. A tasteful and subtle sign hangs above the entrance. The interior amazes you with its minimalist white design. The walls are tiled white with gold and black accents or details. The design of Café Elias conveys a modern and relaxed atmosphere through clean lines and a stylish barista station.
Café Elias offers a selection of high-quality coffees, including espresso, melange and filter coffee. In addition to the hot drinks, healthy smoothies are offered also. It’s nice to see that coffee is the main focus in cafe Elias, which is why the bar is positioned in the middle of the room. You always have to order at the cash register and then pick up your drink on the other side of the bar.
Aside from coffee, the offering at Café Elias also includes small but delicious dishes such as croissants and pastries that come from the Öfferl bakery. Although the menu is limited, the café places great emphasis on the quality and origin of the products. That day I decided on a chocolate cookie and a coldbrew.
