„Dessert is like a feel-good song and the best ones make you dance.“ – Chef Edward Lee, Cafe Paremi
Welcome to Boulangerie and Patisserie (French words for bakery and pastry shop) Paremi. In a romantic French flair you will be indulged with delicacies of the highest quality. And that’s not only marketing but a guarante. The Paremi takes you from downtown Vienna to downtown Paris.
I’ve walked past it so many times, but unfortunately it at times when it was closed. But this time I checked to opening dates to be safe. As it was to be expected for such a nice looking place, almost all tables were taken and pedestrians jumped in every minute or so for a take away.
The founders Patricia & Remi both completed training in Vienna and Paris. And then they opened this beautiful cafe with an open baking area. Everyone who walks past or sits at a table inside can see exactly what’s happening inside the bakery.
In terms of appearance, the Paremi exudes French class and elegance. I love the overall appearance of the cafe. The outside is simple and there are these beautiful large olive trees at the entrance (of course I had to take a photo). Inside there is an incredibly high-quality dark herringbone parquet. The vaulted ceiling has been extremely good renovated and you just feel comfortable. In addition, all the plants and the typical cafe furniture give the whole thing a French touch.
The highlight of the entire room is of course the large glass display case, which immediately catches the eye with its modern style. All the works of art produced in Cafe Paremi are exhibited here. It’s not easy to decide what to take when you look at this unspeakable sight. There are the classic treats like croissants, pain au chocolat and brioches. There are also mini cakes and other sweet sensations. For those who like something heartier and saltier, there are also sandwiches. I chose the avocado bread, which was so nice I almost didn’t want to eat it. But only almost! Because it tasted very good. And not to forget, typical French breads and baked goods are also sold.
Cafe Paremi offers a wide range of irresistible looking delicacies. The founders‘ overall concept worked perfectly and everyone loves their treats, whether sweet or salty. Another highlight I would like to mention is the terrace outside, which is open in the warm season. This is designed with so much love, be it the furniture, the many plants or the small decorative items. Everything fits together here. So what are you waiting for?
