It’s fascinating how you can always discover beautiful places in Vienna. That’s why I’m happy to be able to introduce to you the Chez Bernard today. This is a restaurant in the attic of the Hotel Motto in the 7th district of Vienna. The 7th district in Vienna is generally considered a very hip and sometimes slightly weird district. And the Hotel Motto with its rooftop restaurant fits in perfectly. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit tricky because you have to go into the hotel, through the reception and then to the elevators that take you all the way to the top. But before you get into the elevator there is a beautiful Christmas tree at Christmastime which is the ultimate eye-catcher and immediately entices you to take a photo – like me, for example.
The attic of the building is a more modern architecture, with all the differently angled glass surfaces and all the steel, which together create a kind of cube. For the interior design, warm materials were chosen, velvet, leather and wood. A perfect choice to emphasize French elegance and still have a feeling of being at home. – hats off to them for this great combination with the colors too. In the middle of the dome there is a striking bar surrounded by hanging plants, which give the room a certain relaxed feel. The Chez Bernard restaurant also has an extremely beautiful terrace, but this will not be in operation again until spring.
To toast the upcoming Christmas, I ordered a glass of Prosseco. Plus a freshly squeezed juice called Green Garden Detox. Consists of apple, pear, zucchini, mint, ginger and lemon – a real booster for digestion. From the Breakfast Boutique we chose “Je T’aime”. A cake stand for two filled with egg dishes, ham, salmon, mini blini, jam, yogurt and fruits. I would say we didn’t overeat after eating but were sufficiently full. In general, the selection for breakfast at Chez Bernard restaurant is gigantic and I understand anyone who can’t decide on just one dish.
It was my first time at the Chez Bernard restaurant and I love it. The flair, the food and the feeling it gave me – just great. I’m sure you’ll see me in the restaurant more often in the future. It’s really great and I really recommend it to everyone and I’ve never done that before – so definitely go and let my positive feeling inspire you.
