Dive into the fancy light of Vienna’s underground
The Glückskind is located in the 1st district of Vienna, in a side street from Graben. From the outside it is rather hidden and only labeled with a small sign. But as the saying goes: appearances are always deceiving. – a positive surprise awaits inside.
The interior of the location is simply great in terms of appearance and furnishing, you immediately feel like something special. There is a smoky scent reminiscent of a wine cellar, which makes everything a bit mysterious. – Funnily, I felt like I was in „Sex and the City“.
The drinks menu offers a wide selection of unique cocktails that I have never seen anywhere in Vienna. – the Ghost Basil Smash is my personal recommendation. As a starter we ordered the antipasti platter with a large selection of salami, vegetables, cheese and even fish and the burrata with a spicy tomato sauce and a smoky aroma, with warm bread on the side. – I was very happy with this selection. For the main course I ordered my beloved truffle pasta. – Well, unfortunately I’ve eaten better ones.
All in all it is a beautiful location. Perfect for pictures and cocktails.
