„Surround yourself with Pizza, not negativity.“; Mama Leone
Attention, attention! Everyone pay attention. The newest restaurant in the Huth series just opened in Vienna a few weeks ago. This is called Mama Leone. An Italian restaurant that has raised the bar in Vienna a notch. The restaurant is located in the 1st district of Vienna, right next to all other Huth restaurants near the city park.
As a surprise, I was invited to our date night at Mama Leone and was thrilled. I didn’t know what to expect and was even happier with the result. The restaurant is an eye-catcher from the outside and inside. The facade and the window arches are very classic and the pink neon sign stands out even more. Inside, everything is a little dimmer and there is a huge illuminated tree in the middle of the bar. A real WOW effect.
The Mama Leone restaurant offers exclusively Italian cuisine. And the highlight of the entire restaurant is their Mama’s Cloudy Crust Pizza. Of course, other dishes and appetizers are also offered, but I just had to try the pizza. Not just because you get a big pair of golden scissors with your pizza.
I had ordered the signature pizza called Tartufolino. No matter where there are truffles, I always have to have them. Seeks! White truffle cream, black truffle and truffle oil. We also tried the Spicy Affairs, a Diavola in a class of its own. Both pizzas were simply divine!
I have been to Mama Leone several times and each time I have been completely satisfied and well fed. What was also a highlight for me were all the cocktails – there is a large selection of aperetivos, all of which are served in a glass goblet. They may not look that big, but believe me they are huge. But also extremely tasty!
Mama Leone has become my current favorite for pizza in Vienna. A hotspot for Viennese and tourists. The price-performance ratio is okay, the staff is friendly and quick. So everything you need. Definitely worth a visit.
