My Birthday Dinner at Restaurant Cavallo

It’s my birthday I must spend my money – but this time in a restaurant

I celebrated my 24th birthday this year with a close circle of friends and this year I decided on an intimate birthday dinner. For this reason I chose the Cavallo restaurant, which is located in the 6th district near Mariahilferstrasse. – so very central and perfectly accessible. On the outside it’s hard to miss with its huge sign that shines brightly. Inside it is modernly furnished with a touch of luxury. – the ideal restaurant for my birthday. And the trademark is a unicorn – it couldn’t be better.

The drinks menu is gigantic. There’s a bit of everything – whether classic or unique. This of course also applies to the menu. At first glance this looks like a magazine – brilliant! We all had different drinks: a Hot Snow (whiskey, aperol, ginger), a Viktoria’s Secret (vodka, raspberry, cranberry), a Half Devil Half Goddess (captain morgan, orange, lime), a Heartbreaker (rum , coconut, strawberry), a Pornstar Martini – that was me. We ordered different cocktails and I have to say nothing beats my Pornstar Martini, but everything tasted great.

We also went a little bit crazy with the starters. I first ordered the beef tartare with truffle – a little more truffle would have been beneficial – then the tuna tartare and burrata. – I couldn’t decide what was best.

The main courses were good value for money. I had the Cavallo Pasta, which was tagliatelle with shrimp, then there was gnocci with truffle, porcini mushroom risotto, a steak, calamari fritti and the Cavallo Burger. I think there is enough choice for everyone when it comes to the main courses – even if the selection is on the high side.

All in all, I would say that I liked the restaurant even though it is one of the more expensive restaurants in Vienna. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use but rather for a special occasion – like my birthday for example. It’s a good restaurant for a night that’s just beginning.

Conclusion:

Stylish restaurant with many different drinks.
