Rondell Café – escape to the heights

High at the top of Vienna is the recently opened Café Rondell in the Weitsicht location. This is located on Cobenzl, one of the famous mountains in the 19th district in Vienna. From there you can enjoy an incredible view over the whole of Vienna. And you can easily enjoy this foresight from Café Rondell.

From the outside you immediately see this large circle, which is made of concrete, glass and wood. And the eye-catcher is the large terrace, which goes all the way around the entire building. The entrance to the roundabout is on the side so that the beautiful view is not lost. So it’s incredibly beautiful from the outside.

The entire location seems like something out of a dream. The modern circular buildings and directly in between the stately and newly renovated property where various events can be celebrated. They managed this successful combination of modern and historical extremely well. Another advantage of the location is that it is very quiet there. You can therefore enjoy the view even more.

Let’s come to the interior of the Rondell Café. Everything is very bright and friendly. There are plants everywhere, which gives the whole café something fairytale-like. The furniture is a mix of modern and vintage furniture. I think that’s also the whole theme of the Rondell Café to create a vintage atmosphere. As if time had stood still up here.

I love food! And if I ever had to choose in my life whether I had to eat sweet or salty for the rest of my life, I would choose salty. Surprising. Although I sometimes like to eat something sweet, like here a warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce, I still need something savory.

And before we eat, I of course ordered my beloved Aperol. Here I’ll show you a photo of how happy Aperol makes me. As a warm dish we have linguine with shrimp, pine nuts, fresh spinach and tomatoes. A well-seasoned pasta dream. As another warm dish, we ordered the au gratin ham patties. I was very excited about the presentation and the taste, and i was not disapointed. It was served nicely in an little pot with gratinated chees. It was simply delicious. The Rondell Cafe not only hase great tast in designe but also in presenting their food.

Summary:

I think that the Rondell Café will be my next hotspot when I need some peace and quiet and want to switch off. It’s a great location and I look forward to my next visit.

The staff was nice and friendly. There food and the menu are simply great. It was quiet and beautiful. So they convinced me on all points. And a little secret from me: there is a viewing platform on the roundabout, which is accessible at any time and free of charge. So for everyone who wants to at least enjoy the view, this is my little tip to you.
