A unique restaurant that impresses with its craziness and catapults you straight to China.
The Shanghai Tan is located in the 6th district of Vienna. From the outside it seems like an ordinary Chinese restaurant but as soon as you enter you feel like you are directly in China. The whole atmosphere has something dim and intimate, just romantic. – All that would be missing is a geisha to serve and it would be perfect
The restaurant is divided to 2 levels. The typical dining tables are on the ground floor, but the highlight of the entire establishment is the basement. There are separate bunks, where you can dine like in a private separate room. – an incredible experience for everyone
The food also leaves nothing to be desired. As a starter I like to have edamame with coarse sea salt. – the best snack ever. For the main course I couldn’t decide whether to have it cold or warm. That’s why I took the spicy tuna maki roll and the meat satay skewers with satay sauce and a salad garnish. – the roll was my favorite.
