A place in Vienna that gives you that holiday feeling like you aren’t in the city anymore. The boathouse is directly located at the alte Donau and has a beautiful jetty where you can sit over the water and watch the sunset. It’s a place where you can leave all the hustle and bustle behind you and just relax. A perfect location with an holiday flair.
The restaurant is opened the whole year, you can even sit outside in the winter in little igloos. I personally prefer it more in the summer, because you get such an unique, almost carrabian, atmosphere. I can sit on the jetty with my Aperol and just listen to the nature, watch the boats and swimmers go by and refuel some energy.
There are many of dishes that you can choose, of course mainly the ones you would catch on a real boat – fish & seafood. But even non-fish lovers will find very good delicacies here. As a starter I had a beef tartar with fries alla boho style. The main course was a delicious paella with seafood and a tiger prawn. the dishes were very delicious and flavorful and the portions were anything but small – that was the reason why I couldn’t eat a dessert anymore – although I have a little sweet tooth.

A beautiful place with a lot of holiday flair where you can escape the city without having to leave the city
