A secret brunch spot where you feel like a celebrity and maybe even meet some.
The Guest House Vienna is located in the 1st district in Vienna, the city center. It is a hotel with a wonderful cafe/restaurant for breakfast or brunch. From the outside it appears to be a rather modern location due to its concrete facade with all the metal cracks, but as soon as you enter the hotel you are back in typical Vienna. Gold accents, stone and the smell of coffee and cake.
The porter opens the door and you are escorted to your table. A top service on a higher level – you immediately feel like something special. No wonder that this restaurant is a secret spot in Vienna, where well-known luminaries also go for breakfast, such as: Politicians or tv presenters. Every time you meet someone else that you know or might know from TV.
The healthy breakfast trend is becoming more and more at the forefront of Viennese people. For this reason we ordered the Eggs Florentine. A soft egg on crispy toast with pine nuts, spinach and cheese hollandaise. Then the Eggs Diable – also a soft egg on bread but this time with avocado, chorizo and chilli. And at the end we also tried the Albertine breakfast. Consisting of a fine selection of ham & cheese, herb curds with cress, an egg, and typically for Vienna, butter and jam.
My overall impression was very positive. The service was very quick and professional. The food was delicious and the overall atmosphere was just right, every guest was treated equally – as it should be. There was also nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio. However, it is not a place for everyday brunch or breakfast but remains more of a place for a fancier breakfast.
Conclusion:
a place for a down-to-earth but more luxurious breakfast

Führichgasse 10
