„Fashion ist the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.“ – Bill Cunningham, Vienna Fashion Week
Every year the infamous Vienna Fashion Week takes place at the Museumsquartier, which brings together fashion enthusiasts and designers from all over the world in Vienna. Innovative collections and sustainable fashion are the focus of this year’s shows. Numerous Austrian and international designers present their latest trends on the catwalk. The event strengthens Vienna’s position for more fashion awareness.
I’ve been talking about wanting to go to Vienna Fashion Week for years and I finally made it there. And I owe that to a very special brand, which I will mention later. I spent a wonderful evening with my mom and felt like I was in the movie/series Sex and the City. Simply wonderful!
I love fashion more than anything. It could even be that I’m a bit of a shopoholic. Psst! I love combining different things and finding my personal style. I’m not as crazy and colorful as others. But rather more reserved and more careful about the cut and fit. That’s why I can’t describe how great I felt at this year’s Vienna Fashion Week. A true dream has come true. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll design my own collection?
For a brief overview of the whole evening. You have to redeem your tickets for wristbands at the entrance. There are 3 different bands. This year the VIP wristbands were purple. You will be checked at the main entrance and then when you enter the VIP area. There you can take photos in advance at the photo wall and there is a separate area where you can enjoy appetizers, sparkling wine and other cocktails before and after the show. Another advantage of the VIP bands is that you are let in first and you sit in the front row.
Mionetto Prosecco:
This year, or rather for the first time ever, I took part in a competition on Instagram. The Mionetto Prosecco company raffled off VIP tickets and I was one of the lucky ones who won tickets. Of course I took my mom with me because she works in the fashion industry and currently owns a bridal salon.
Mionetto is a well-known Italian Prosecco brand founded in 1887 in the Veneto region. It stands for high-quality sparkling wines that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern flair. Mionetto is particularly known for its fresh and fruity Proseccos, which are popular both in Italy and internationally. The brand is characterized by stylish design and a wide range of products, from easily accessible to exclusive varieties. Mionetto is considered one of the leading Prosecco producers worldwide.
The shows:
In total we watched 2 shows. Avani and Pitour Cranz/Sonderling. Both shows were slightly delayed, but as we all know, people like to wait for something good. The shows lasted about 20 minutes and for me the time flew by. I liked both shows, but I have to admit that I was more enchanted by the AVANI Collection. For this reason I would like to tell you something about the AVANI brand from Vienna Fashion Week.
Avani is an aspiring fashion designer from Vienna who is known for her love of design. Her collections are characterized by clear elegance, clear lines and minimalist aesthetics. Clothing that is supposed to make women more self-confident and stronger. Anja, the founder of the Avani brand, has quickly made a name for herself in the Austrian fashion scene and regularly shows her work at Vienna Fashion Week. Her approach combines ethics and aesthetics in a unique way.
Summary:
All in all I can say that the evening was a complete success. I have to admit that I was pretty nervous on the way to Vienna Fashion Week, but luckily once I got inside and had my first glass of prosecco, that subsided. I would like to thank Mionetto Prosecco again for winning the VIP tickets. I will definitely be there again next year. Certainly a must have on the annual to do list for fashion enthusiasts.
Conclusion:
an unique event for fashion lovers
