A little piece of Korea in the heart of Vienna – a taste explosion is inevitable.
Welcome to Yori – Korean Dining, a unique Korean restaurant in the 1st district of Vienna. Let yourself be enchanted by good and healthy food. It’s not for nothing that Yori means cooking in Korean, so a promising statement and meaning. But Yori is not just a classic restaurant. No – because it also has its very own karoake restaurant. So if the classic food in the front area isn’t enough, you can also book the karaoke buffet where you can eat healthy and at the same time.
Let’s look at the appearance of the place. Like many other restaurants, the Yori is rather simple from the outside, white facade, black sign with a neon logo, but there is a red neon strip along the entire length, the color of which is somewhat reminiscent of traditional Asian culture. When you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in Korea. Rather dim light, red paper lamps, dark walls and classic furniture. It radiates something elegant and calm at the same time. A restaurant where you can fully concentrate on the food.
As a starter we ordered the “Seu Tigim” – fried shrimp in batter and the “Gun Mandu” – fried dumplings filled with vegetables. Both were served with a coleslaw with garlic dressing and a sweet and sour sauce.
The reason why I really wanted to go here is this. Who knows those fascinating videos on Instagram or Tiktok where you see cute little Asian restaurants where the guests can prepare the food or grill themselves at the table? Well, that’s exactly what we have here. A small grill is placed next to the table and you can grill your own food – a great experience. It’s called Barbecue Bulgogi. It was beef that had already been marinated and sliced thin. The side dishes weren’t skimped on either – there were a lot of vegetables and what was most important to me was kimchi. I know that opinions are very divided when it comes to kimchi, but that also depends on the fact that not every kimchi is prepared/fermented the same. But a tip to the ladies: it has an anti-aging effect and is great for digestion.
In summary, it was a really great experience and the food was incredibly delicious. The best Korean restaurant in Vienna so far – in my opinion. The balance of ingredients and spices was on point. And I think there is nothing better than eating lots of delicious food and feeling good afterwards, not too full but just good. And the icing on the cake is that everything was healthy and nutritious at the same time. – Simply great. So I have a big recommendation for everyone. – assuming you like Asian cuisine.
Conclusion:
great Korean barbecue restaurant – just top
